With construction wrapping up for the first section of 500 Ocean Avenue in Revere, leasing is underway with first residents expected to take occupancy in early September. The luxury development, along Revere Beach will feature 305 apartments along with 13,000 square feet of amenity space including an outdoor pool, co-working space, and a roof deck with ocean views.
Units range in size from 1 through 3 bedrooms and include black kitchen cabinets and slate appliances along with smartphone keyless entry systems and nest thermostats.

Foundation work has started for the upcoming Hilton Hotel as part of the South Bay Center's redevelopment. The extended stay hotel will feature 130 rooms along with parking for 77 cars. Construction on the hotel is set to be complete in 2020.

First Units Complete at The Pioneer in Everett
The first group of units are now available for move in at The Pioneer as work continues to finish off the remaining residences and parts of the courtyard. This 286 luxury project is located in Everett, and the name is a nod to the pioneering spirit of the community. The Pioneer offers unexpected amenity spaces that culminate in an enormous open-air courtyard decked out with a heated pool, fire pits, an outdoor kitchen, and even a poolside movie theater. First residents were welcomed with a unique housewarming gift, a custom tartan blanket, designed by the Proverb creative team. Construction on the remaining units is expected to wrap up this summer.

Framing Complete for 500 Ocean Avenue in Revere
Wood framing is complete for 500 Ocean Avenue along Revere Beach with window install and exterior work also ongoing in parts of the project. This new full-service building will include a total of 305 residential units next to the Wonderland MBTA station. Resident amenities will include a programmed roof deck with unobstructed ocean views; a bar/lounge/media concept; a communal workspace; dynamic fitness concept with outdoor yoga space; outdoor lap pool; dog care facility; and indoor and outdoor gaming activities.
A representative for Callahan Construction, the GC for the project, told BLDUP the target date for first occupancy is 9/1/19.

Foundation Work Has Started for 1785 Columbus Avenue
With the site clear, foundation work is underway for the upcoming 7-story office building at 1785 Columbus Avenue in Roxbury. The project will include 139,200 square feet of office space along with 1,5000 square feet of ground-floor retail. The 2nd and 3rd floors of the building will be used by Horizons for Homeless Children for childcare and administration. A 157-space parking garage will also be located on site.

Construction Nearly Complete for Coppersmith Village in East Boston
Construction is wrapping up and leasing has started for Coppersmith Village in East Boston. The development includes two new apartment buildings along Border Street featuring 56 units and 15 condo townhomes on Liverpool Street. The site is located just a few minutes from the Maverick Square MBTA Station. A total of 37 parking spaces are included under the rental buildings and each townhome includes a one car garage. Coppersmith Village also features a 3,000 square foot ground floor retail/restaurant space.

Facade Install is Underway for The Harvey (and Parts of it are Yellow)
Facade install has begun for The Harvey along Rutherford Avenue in the Hood Business Park in Charlestown. The building will be clad in terra-cotta colored rainscreen panels, including a sunny yellow on the interior courtyard facing section of the facade. Architects, CBT designed the building to both emulate the scale and proportion of the existing industrial structures along Rutherford Avenue while serving as a bold and inviting gateway to the revitalized Hood Business Park.
The six-story, 177-unit residential building will also feature 10,500 square feet of retail space and parking for 90 cars and 172 bicycles. Construction is expected to be complete later this year.
