Bulfinch Crossing Secures $570 Million in Construction Financing
The Bulfinch Crossing development has secured $570 million in construction financing via Wells Fargo.
Bulfinch Crossing is a 2.9-million-square-foot multi-phased development project that will replace the existing above-grade concrete Government Center Garage with six mixed-use buildings, a pedestrian-friendly streetscape and a public plaza on two appropriately-scaled urban blocks spread across approximately 4.8 acres. The demolition of a major portion of the garage over Congress Street will allow for daylight to shine on Congress Street for the first time in more than 40 years.

Facade work is nearly complete for The Sudbury, the residential tower at Bulfinch Crossing. The 45-story tower will feature 368 apartments plus 55 condos and is expected to open this coming spring. Steel Framing Underway for The Track at New Balance
Structural steel framing is underway for The Track At New Balance in Brighton. The TRACK will offer a pinnacle sports experience for athletes, as well as a concert venue with The Bowery Presents and a New Balance Athletics Sports Research Lab. Ground floor retail and foodservice will also be part of the project. Construction is expected to be complete by late summer 2021.

The upcoming 14-story building, the final piece of the INK Block, will feature 180 units of co-living. Tower Crane in Place for 321 Harrison Ave. Addition and Renovations
A tower crane is now in place at 321 Harrison Avenue for the addition and renovations to the Class A office project. An 8-story office building is being built on top of the existing 3-story parking garage. The existing lobby that connects 1000 Washington Street and the garage will be reconfigured to create a shared lobby for the two buildings.

Window and Facade Install Underway for The Beat
Windows are going in, and new sections of the brick facade are taking shape at The Beat in Dorchester. The redevelopment of the former Boston Globe headquarters will feature 695,000-square-feet of creative office, lab, and retail space. Amenities on-site will include a fitness center, roof deck, mini-basketball court, and a golf simulator. The project will also include a 100-seat restaurant and craft microbrewery.
As part of the renovation, Eversource is working with the development team at Nordblom to support the installation of energy-efficient infrastructure. High-efficiency rooftop air conditioning units will be used to condition and ventilate the building, and an LED lighting scheme will provide superior lighting quality while consuming minimal energy. The Beat will also include one of Eversource’s largest EV projects, featuring more than 40 spaces equipped with ports for charging electric vehicles. Construction is expected to wrap up this coming spring.

A permit has been pulled to build a temporary ice rink in Seaport Square at 65 Northern Avenue. During the summer the site is home to the Cisco Beer garden but will now be transformed into a skating rink that will run through March of next year.

The building permit has been issued for the upcoming 43 story office tower at One Congress. The building will feature over 1M square feet of Class A office space along with 10,800 square feet of retail plus parking for 1159 cars. Building amenities will include a grand three-story lobby, conference facilities, a third-party operated fitness center, and a 1-acre landscaped terrace. The permit is valued at over $346M.
