MEB has a reputation for completing award winning projects throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia and has been recognized as Contractor of the Year by both the City of Chesapeake and the American Public Works Authority (APWA). MEB is a leader in the Hampton Roads region in the successful execution of design-build projects. Clients have included the Federal Government, state and local municipalities as well as private industry. Project types have ranged from manufacturing facilities to water treatment plants to headquarters office buildings. In all cases, MEB has lead the effort from start to finish, assembling design teams, managing design and pre-construction activities, securing all approvals and permits and following through on all construction, commissioning and close-out phases.
MEB's home office houses project managers, project engineers, administrative assistants, accounting, safety, and equipment maintenance and delivery. Our site management personnel consist of superintendents, quality control representatives and foremen, as well as numerous field crews that allow MEB to self perform significant aspects of our various projects. The superintendents interface with all divisions of the home office, subcontractors, foremen, Owner reps, design professionals, and quality control personnel. The superintendent has authority to direct the subcontractors, schedule meetings, and execute field changes. The superintendents also have the authority to order any materials or services they deem necessary to execute the work in accordance with the contract.
