Innovation Square will feature 60 on-site parking spaces, in addition to bicycle storage. Construction is expected to last through the first quarter of 2021.

$3M Lab/Office Fit-Out Permit Pulled for Ginkgo Bioworks Space at 27 Drydock A permit valued at over $3M has been pulled by The Richmond Group for the fit-out of the lab/office space on the 8th floor of 27 Drydock in the Seaport, home of Ginkgo Biowoks. The biotech startup founded by MIT grad students and their then-professor raised $290M in new funding this past fall and now has a valuation of $4B.

The four-story, 375,000 square foot research, development, and manufacturing facility is located on the east end of Boston's booming Seaport District. The first phase of Innovation Square is a four-story, 125,000-square-foot building, anchored by a two-floor, 54,000-square-foot office for Mass Innovation Labs. The second phase will feature 260,000 square feet of lab ready space.

The project would include a roughly 366,000 square foot residential building, an office building of approximately 334,000 square feet, and a 400,000 square foot lab/r&d building. The residential and office buildings would be around 180 feet tall with the lab building at 123 feet. The project would also include significant public realm improvements plus new parks and open space.

The Quinn Tops Off The Quinn in Boston's South End has topped off and facade install is well underway. The 14-story building will feature 273 residential units, including 172 rental apartments and 101 luxury condominiums. Resident amenities will include an 8,000 square foot fitness facility, indoor pool, plus a 12th floor landscaped terrace. The Quinn will also feature around 8,500 square feet of ground-floor retail plus parking for 180 cars.
