Affordable Housing Lottery Kicks Off for 2-24 26th Avenue

NYC Housing Connect has started an affordable housing lottery encompassing 42 units within a 6-story, multifamily development, going up at 2-24 26th Avenue in Astoria, Queens. Eligible applicants must earn between $105,223 and $198,250 annually, or sit at 130 percent of the area median income (AMI). Applications will be accepted either online or by mail until May 27, 2024.

Developed by , and known as "Astor on Third II", the building will contain rental apartments in total. Plans also call for 17,861 square feet of community facility space (possibly to be used as an art gallery), and an open parking lot, with enough room for vehicles. Designed by , the structure stands feet tall and totals square feet. Construction is in the interior finishing stage and work is expected to wrap up within the next few months.
