Beacon Hill Hotel Trades for $57M

Egeria has acquired The Whitney Hotel in Beacon Hill for $57,000,000. Completed in 2019, the boutique hotel offers 65 luxury rooms and suites. Related Beal acquired the property in 2016 before undertaking the major renovation & addition which was awarded a 2020 Preservation Achievement Award by the Boston Preservation Alliance. Egeria tells BLDUP "We are proud to acquire this trophy hotel on Beacon Hill which underlines our long-term commitment to Boston. We are working closely with the seller to ensure a smooth transition."

Boston Realty Advisors, the largest independent real estate brokerage in Massachusetts, represented the buyer in the transaction. "We have established a vast network of owners and investors that stretches globally and that includes Egeria Group, a private equity group based in Amsterdam," said Kevin Benzinger, Director of the Capital Markets Group of Boston Realty Advisors. “This asset represents a tremendous addition to Egeria’s U.S. real estate portfolio. We are excited to have represented them in this acquisition.”

The sale was handled by Benzinger, Ryan McDonald, Leader of the Hospitality Division, and Jason S. Weissman, Founder and Senior Partner of Boston Realty Advisors.
