Cruz Development Corporation Alters Design For 135 Dudley Street, Adds More Housing
Cruz Development submitted a redesigned proposal for 135 Dudley Street in response to the BPDA. Reflecting changes requested by the BPDA and Department of Neighborhood Development (“DND”) staffs, and by members of the Boston Civic Design Commission, the updated plans significantly reduced onsite parking (from 270 spaces to 146 spaces), while total housing increased from 157 to 160 multi-family units (108 condominium and 52 rentals units). The proposed height of Building Two (condominiums) remains the same at nine stories, the proposed height of Building One (rentals) has been reduced to four stories. Additionally, the locations of the two buildings have been switched.
The reduction in total square footage from 346,716 gross SF to 282,382 SF comes with a reduction in total units as well as commercial space from 14,491 gross SF to 8,703 gross SF.
