Myrtilla Miner Building Renovation Update 02/17/23

Construction Underway for Howard U's Miner Building Renovations

Earlier this month Howard University broke ground on the renovation of the historic Myrtilla Miner Building. Constructed in 1913, the building initially served as a teacher-training school for African Americans and is now listed in the National Register of Historic Places. The building will be transformed into a shared space for the Howard University School of Education and the Howard University Middle School of Mathematics and Science. The careful renovation will restore the building's historical integrity and showcase its landmark designation.
