Developer Planning Mixed-Use Project in Treasure Island
South Florida-based developer Shlomo Melloul has plans for a new mixed-use development in Treasure Island on the site of an existing shopping center. Melloul acquired the shopping center, Treasure Island Plaza June 30 for $5.85 million. The new five-story property would include 12,000 square feet of ground level retail space, hotel rooms on the next two floors and 40 residential units on the top two floors. Plans also show a rooftop pool and parking garage behind the mixed-use building. The shopping center is fully occupied, and the tenants have one to two-year leases, the development would move forward after the leases expire.
