Excavation Ongoing for MGH Expansion
Excavation along with the construction and placement of slurry wall panels is ongoing along Cambridge Street for MGH's upcoming Phillip & Susan Ragon Building. The multi-year construction project will strengthen the hospital’s ability to provide exceptional care and enliven the West End and Beacon Hill neighborhoods. The new two-tower clinical care facility will become home to the Mass General Cancer Center and the Corrigan Minehan Heart Center and include 482 single-bed inpatient rooms. The new building will also feature spacious operating/interventional and procedural rooms, imaging facilities, infusion rooms, exam rooms, and space for an education center and auditorium.
