Lakeforest Mall Redevelopment Gains Final Approval
The redevelopment of the Lakeforest Mall has been approved by the Gaithersburg City Council in a unanimous vote. Plans for the 100-acre site call for a mixed-use development to include 1,600 residential units, 850,000 square feet of office space, and 480,00 square feet of retail/restaurant/commercial space. Construction could kick off next year according to the development team.
