Proposed St. Petersburg Hotel Gains Approval
The plans for a new hotel in downtown St. Petersburg have been approved by the City of St. Petersburg Development Review Commission. The developers were granted a variance change on the sidewalk and area ratio bonuses clearing the way for the project to move forward. Tempo by Hilton will be a 14-story hotel along 2nd Street North, at the corner of 3rd Avenue North, a prime parcel across the street from Sundial St. Pete. The hotel will include 184 rooms and a 124-space parking garage, with the ground floor lobby fronting 2nd street. Three floors of parking would be above the parking garage. Meeting space would be contained on the fourth floor, with guest floors on floors 5 through 12. Guest amenities and a rooftop bar will occupy the top floor.
