Updated Plans Presented for Mary Ellen McCormack Redevelopment
Updated project documents have been filed for the redevelopment of the Mary Ellen McCormack community in South Boston. The total number of units has been reduced slightly by 55 to 1,310 total of which 529 affordable replacement units. While the total number of units has been reduced the number of 3-bedroom units has been increased and 4-bedroom homes have also been added to plans. New plans also call for more open/green space with an expended Veterans Park, a new public courtyard with a dog run on Gavin Way, and an enhanced linear park along Old Colony. Per the project documents, the development team hopes to begin construction on Building A in Q1 2024.
