Williamsburg Commercial Project Navigates Public Review
A proposed commercial project at 1 Wythe Avenue in Greenpoint, Brooklyn is working its way through the public review process. Applicant, One Wythe LLC is requesting a zoning special permit pursuant to Section 74-962 and 74-963 as well as a zoning text amendment pursuant to ZR 74-96. These are necessary in order to facilitate a new 8-story commercial and industrial building.
The application has already been approved by the Community Board and is currently being reviewed by the Borough President. The Borough President has so far held two public hearings, however, the Borough Board still has to hold one as well within same the 30-day window. On or before October 25th, the application will be sent to the City Planning Commission for further evaluation.
