Located in the heart of the Seaport District, the luxurious, LEED Silver-certified buildings feature sweeping views of the Boston skyline and Boston Harbor. The Benjamin offers 354 modern apartments, including ultra-luxurious penthouses with private balconies on floors 17-22, with amenities such as two outdoor terraces including a pool terrace overlooking Fort Point Channel. 2. The Hub on Causeway

The Hub on Causeway is a 1.87-million-square-foot mixed-use development featuring three towers with retail, office, hotel and residential uses. Construction of the project will come in three phases, with the first, consisting of 175,000 square feet of creative office space, 210,000 square feet of multi-level retail/restaurant space, 64,000 square feet of TD Garden expansion space, 10,000 square feet of outdoor space, and 540 new underground parking spaces, expected to be completed in late 2018. Phase Two will consist of a 38-story residential tower with about 440 units and a 10-story hotel tower with approximately 260 rooms, while Phase Three calls for a 21-story, 525,000-square-foot office tower. Big Night Entertainment Group and Live Nation New England signed a 31,680-square-foot lease this past August to create a new entertainment venue in the Phase One building featuring a nightclub, a restaurant, a concert venue and bowling. 3. South Bay Town Center

112 Shawmut Avenue is a proposed 13-story, 143-unit apartment development with a 980-square-foot ground-floor cafe in Boston’s South End that would preserve and incorporate the street-facing facade of an existing six-story, 70,000-square-foot brick-and-beam South End office building, which would be partially demolished. Amenities would include a 13th floor rooftop deck and amenity space and a 9th floor rooftop terrace, both offering sweeping views of the Boston skyline. 112 Shawmut Avenue’s developer The Davis Companies is partnering with neighboring property owners Boston Chinese Evangelical Church and Chinese Consolidated Benevolent Association to establish a 1.9-acre Planned Development Area (PDA) across their three parcels, allowing the developers to construct buildings up to 150 feet tall and to collaborate to create compatible development projects and coordinated streetscape improvements. 6. Bulfinch Crossing

Bulfinch Crossing is a 2.9-million-square-foot multi-phased development project that will replace the existing above-grade concrete Government Center Garage with a pedestrian-friendly streetscape, a public plaza and six mixed-use buildings on two appropriately-scaled urban blocks spread across approximately 4.8 acres. The demolition of a major portion of the garage over Congress Street will allow for daylight to shine on Congress Street for the first time in more than 40 years.


When fully built, there will be 800+ housing units (apartments and condominiums, including affordable units), 1.15 million gross square feet of office space, 200 hotel rooms and 82,500 gross square feet of retail space at Bulfinch Crossing. The first phase of Bulfinch Crossing, a 45-story, 480 foot tall luxury residential apartment building featuring 368 apartments and 55 condominiums for a total of 423 residences, is now under construction. A second 28-story residential building containing apartments or condominiums will also be constructed at Bulfinch Crossing. The reconfigured garage, which will be enclosed on its three principal sides by the new West Parcel buildings, will contain approximately 1,100 parking spaces of the existing 2,300. Learn more >>>

7. Landing 53

Braintree

Landing 53 is an upcoming six-story mixed-use building in downtown Braintree that will offer 172 market-rate apartments, including 32 studios, 62 one-bedrooms, and 78 two-bedrooms, with 12,000 square feet of ground-floor retail. Amenities will include an outdoor pool, a modern lobby, a state-of-the-art gym with yoga facilities, and a resident lounge. Located across from the Weymouth Landing-East Braintree MBTA Commuter Rail station, Landing 53 will offer residents 198 vehicle parking spaces in an underground garage.
