MassDOT Receives 6 Bids for Downtown Boston RFP
6 developers have responded to the Massachusetts Department of Transportation's request for proposal on 1.3 acres of land in Chinatown. The 1.3 parcel, part of the larger Gateway Boston area, includes 24,600 SF of air rights above the O'Neill Tunnel. MassDOT received the following 6 proposals:
A 394-unit proposal from Trinity Chinatown, LP - a partnership between Trinity Financial Inc. and Boston Chinatown Neighborhood Center. The proposal includes 13,000 SF of retail and community space
A partnership between Peebles Corporation and Genesis Cos Inc. featuring a proposal for 218 residential units and 309,000 SF of life science lab space
A partnership between development giants National Development, Alexandria Real Estate Equities Inc., Asian Community Development Corporation, and Alinea Capital Partners. Plans call for 93 residential units along with a 330,000 SF Life Science, Lab/R&D component
BioMed Realty submitted plans for 736,000 SF of life science space
Lupoli Companies filed plans for 153 units with 362,000 SF of lab space for the site
Brookfield Properties, in partnership with the Hudson Group and The Menkiti Group, filed plans for 302 residential units as well as 300,000 SF of lab research space.
