As of 10/31, the designation of Feldco & Elma Lewis Partners as the developers of Parcel 3 will expire and the BPDA will not grant any further extensions. BPDA Director Golden told the Bay State Banner, “The residents of Roxbury deserve a development at Parcel 3 that will create good-paying jobs, economic development, affordable housing, cultural space and more,” Golden said in his statement. “While we are disappointed that the current project cannot move forward due to the development team’s lack of a viable funding source, we believe that opening this parcel up for new opportunities will allow for a community-led vision, guided by PLAN: Dudley, to determine the future of this important parcel.” The current plans for Tremont Crossing which were approved in March 2017 would have featured nearly 1.2M square feet of mixed-use development including over 700 residential units.
