Certificate of Occupancy Issued for First Units at Velo JP A certificate of occupancy has been issued for the first tower, 122 units, at Velo JP along with the amenity space and 1/2 of the shared garage. When complete Velo will feature 250 units in total along with just over 4,000 square feet of retail space. The transit-oriented project is located directly across the street from the Forest Hills MBTA station.


The Abby

Window Install Has Kicked Off for The Abby in Quincy Window install has kicked off for the first residential building at The Abby in North Quincy. The transit-oriented project adjacent to the North Quincy MBTA Station will feature 610 apartments along with 50,000 square feet of commercial/retail space including Target as one of the anchor tenants. The development also includes a 1,300+ space parking garage that is set to open this coming summer.


1550 Soldiers Field Road & 21 Soldiers Field Place

Site Work Ongoing for 1550 Soldiers Field Road Site work has begun for 1550 Soldiers Field Road, the larger part of the two-building, 223,000 square foot residential development overlooking the Charles River. The larger six-story building will contain 211 market-rate units ranging from studios to two-bedrooms. Site work has not yet begun on 21 Soldiers Field Place, the smaller, four-story building consisting of 38 affordable condominiums.

Interior Finishes Going In For The Buckley in Framingham Interior finish work is ongoing for the 210 modern apartments at The Buckley in Framingham. Units will range from studios at just over 600 square feet through 3 bedrooms/2 bath homes featuring over 1400 square feet of living space. Amenities will include a fitness center, club room with catering kitchen, and pet spa. The Buckley is now leasing with expected first move-ins this spring.


Finch Cambridge

Interior Finishing Underway for Finch Cambridge With exterior work nearly complete, interior finishing is underway for Finch Cambridge along Concord Ave. The 6-story building features 98 affordable apartments, ranging in size from 1 through 3 bedrooms. Amenities on-site will include a community room, a rooftop terrace, and garage parking. 


Clarendon Hill

Full Project Filing Submitted for Redevelopment of Clarendon Hill in Somerville Redgate & Preservations of Affordable Housing Inc, have filed a full project submission for the redevelopment of the Clarendon Hill housing development in Somerville. The proposed project consists of the construction of up to 591 rental dwelling units, of which 375 will be affordable to households earning between 60%-110% of the AMI. The project would be constructed in phases to allow for the relocation of existing residents. Plans also call for 369 on-site parking spaces and a new community park.

Wood Framing Ongoing for The Abby in Quincy Wood framing is quickly rising for the first residential building at The Abby in North Quincy. Work also continues on the 1,314 space parking garage within the project that is set to be complete this coming summer. In total, The Abby will feature 610 luxury apartments and 50,000 square feet of retail space including a Target. Resident amenities will include a fitness center with active group fitness and studio areas, a solarium plus an outdoor pool deck. 


1550 Soldiers Field Road & 21 Soldiers Field Place

Fire Alarm & Electrical Permits Pulled for 1550 Soldiers Field Road A series of permits valued at over $3.2M for electrical and fire alarm install have been pulled for the two-building project at 1550 Soldiers Field Road. The project will feature a total of 249 residential units. The larger building at 1550 Soldiers Field Road will include 211 apartments while a smaller building at 21 Soldiers Field Place will feature 38 affordable condos. A total of 175 parking spaces would be provided on-site, including a parking garage underneath the apartment building containing 148 spaces and a screened ground-floor garage within the condominium building containing 27 spaces. 


125 Amory Street

Renovations Ongoing at 125 Amory Street Work is ongoing for the full-scale renovation of the 199-unit senior housing building at 125 Amory Street in JP.  Renovations will include improvements to all existing apartments within the 105-year-old building including new windows, new high-efficiency central heating and cooling, plus updated kitchens and bathroom. BHA administrative offices within the building will also be converted to 12 new affordable units.

It is a key component of the master-planned, mixed-use development that is revitalizing the city’s downtown.


Orient Heights Redevelopment Project

Interior Finishing Underway for Orient Heights Phase II Interior finishing is now underway for Phase II of the redevelopment of the Orient Heights public housing development in East Boston. The project included the demolition of 87 existing units in four buildings and the construction of 88 replacement state-funded public housing units in two townhouse buildings and one mid-rise building. Construction is expected to wrap up in the first quarter of 2020.

Interior Finishing Ongoing for Velo JP: First Units Expected to Open Early 2020 Interior finishing is ongoing for the first set of units at Velo JP (formerly known as The Residences at Forest Hills). The three-building project will include 250 apartments and 4,070 square feet of ground-floor retail. Residents will have access to an array of amenities including an outdoor courtyard with yoga and exercise space and personal garden plots along with a clubhouse to feature community lounge space and fitness center. First residents are expected to move in sometime in early 2020.
